Emo

What are some of your favorite 'emo' bands and, more importantly, what would you consider required for a band to be 'emo?'

I've heard people say the following bands are 'emo'

MCR
CIWWAF
The Used

and thats about all the comes to mind.

dont forget my chemical romance
a.f.i.
and dead underground
personaly i dont like most emo music but thyere are some good songs
and dont forget hawthorne hieghts

I agree with Akillias/Justin! some of those emo bands put out a few good songs. But i can't really complain, because you can only be so good i guess, right? i myself like many kinds of metal, rock, and techno, but the techno is only acceptable if there's not too much repeat and it has a good beat, with drums or bass. Repetitiveness is ugly, and makes even good songs taste bad
